Biography

Charlotta Engblom is an engineer, strategic thinker, and thought leader with a lifelong commitment to advancing both technology and society. In her profession she leads right now an international team of engineers and experts focusing on Advanced Process Control. The focus for this role is on industrial digitalisation, team building, and continuous improvement. Her work bridges operational excellence with strategic foresight, ensuring that the team can be at its best for advancing technological upgrades for the process industry and adhering to sustainable business practices.

Previously, Charlotta has held other leadership roles. She managed global partnerships for laboratory services and developed a corporate laboratory network, implementing processes that ensured high-quality analysis across the entire value chain. She has also worked on improving operational efficiency, data management and setting up business processes in production and laboratory settings, combining analytical rigor and lean methodology with human-centered leadership.

Charlotta’s educational background is rooted in science and engineering: she holds a degree in Analytical Chemistry and studies in Statistics. Her current learning focuses on strategic leadership and emerging technologies for data and process control. She has authored publications in analytical toxicology and contributed to EU research projects in her early career.

Beyond her profession, Charlotta is deeply committed to her community and civic life. She served as a council member in Sipoo between 2017-2024 and in the regional council between 2022-2025. In this work she held leadership positions in the boards of education, civil engineering, and regional development. Her public engagement is complemented by a rich creative life: she has sung with prominent choirs, led a local podcast on current affairs, and pursues music as an ongoing hobby.

Her personal view of life integrates faith, science, creativity, and public service. She seeks to inspire and guide others through thought leadership, writing, and public engagement, blending intellect, empathy, and a disciplined, gradual approach to personal and professional growth.
